Romeo and Juliet: Act 5
The Friar had gone through with the plan and sent letters to Romeo saying Juliet wasn't actually dead. Unfortunetly, something went wrong and they weren't sent to him. When he heard Juliet was dead he immediately decided he wanted to die. He got a bottle of poison and went to Juliets bed side. He said his good byes and then lay beside Juliet. After he had swallowed the poison, Juliet woke up. They spent the last minutes of his life together. Once he was dead Juliet grabbed a gun and ended her life so she could be with Romeo. The Capulets and Montigues didn't agree to become friends but they decided to raise two gold statues in memory of their loved ones.
Overall this book shows true love and loyalty. No mattter what happened between them Romeo and Juliet found away to be together. This shows their loyalty towards always loving each other. When Romeo thought Juliet was dead he instantly knew he would rather be dead than live with out Juliet. Juliet then ends her life because Romeo is dead because of her. This shows that they were truly in love with each other and can't live if the other is dead.

Romeo and Juliet: Act 4
After Juliet got into an arguement about marrying Paris, she went to the Friar to seek advice. Her parents were unaware that she was married to a Montigue and they wanted her to marry a man who she didn't love. She wouldn't let this happen so she went to the Friar and he gave her a solution. He gave her a drug that would make her fall into a deep sleep and she would apear dead. He said he would tell Romeo that she would pretend to be dead so they could run away together once she had awoken. Juliet went through with this plan and her family found her they were divistated. They made a bed for her to lay on with candles around it.
I think the theme for this act is forced and forbidden love. Juliet is caught in the middle of these two. She is being forced to marry somwone that her father has chosen for her. She does not love him back but if she doesn't marry him, she will be kicked out. The forbidden love is between Romeo and Juliet. She had to marry him secretly becuase her family and his family were enemies. She knew that no matter how much she loved Romeo, her parents would never understand.

Romeo and Juliet: Act 3
In scene three Tybalt gets into a fight with Mercutio who ends up dieing. Romeo is enraged by Tabalt killing Mercution and kills him. After, he realizes he has killed Juliet, his wifes, cousin. The prince desides that when they find Romeo they will kill him. Romeo runs away to Juliet and tells her what he has done. She looks past what he has done, since Tabalt would have killed him. But Romeo had to leave becuase he must stay hidden from eveyone because he is sentenced to death. That night Juliet and her father got in an arguement because she was refusing to marry Paris. Her father said she had to marry him or she would be kicked out. She was out of hope since her mother was on the same page as her father. She decided that she would rather die than marry Paris, for she was already married to her true love, Romeo. She was going to go talk to the Friar to see what advice he would have for her.
At this point it is clear that Romeo and Juliet are truly in love. She still loved him even after he had killed her cousin. He also loved her enough to tell her the truth about what he had done. Juliet refused to marry one of the perfect men chosen for her to marry, because she was in love with Romeo. She got into an arguement with her father and even after she was threatened to be kicked out, she still refused to marry Paris.

Act 2: Romeo and Juliet
In act two Romeo and Juliet meet each other for the first time after figuring out who each other were. Romeo came to Juliet the same night they first night they met. He came at night so the dark would act as a cape and hide him from other people. They were married in less than twenty four hours of knowing each other by the Friar. Before they were married he tried to warn them that there marriage wouldn't turn out well but they insisted on getting married.
Romeo and Juliet were in love at first sight. They hadn't know each other for a day and they were already husband and wife. I think that as much as they thought they were in love, they should have waited longer and gotten to know each other better. They could love with their eyes and not their heart but mistake it for true love. I think it was risky because they were young, immature and didn't know anything about each other. Romeo and Juliet should have thought about the consequences about them getting married, since their families are enemies.
From this I can predict that Romeo and Juliet's marriage will cause a conflict.

Act 1: Romeo and Juliet
Scene 1 & 2
From reading the first two acts, I have noticed the rivalry between the Capulet and the Montigue families. When Capulet and Paris are talking, Capulet is giving Paris permission to marry his daughter, Juliet. This is where they first introduce one of the main characters. From the way they talked about her, I could tell that she was the type of girl who gets ordered around a lot. Then we were introduced to the other main character, Romeo. He is a Montigue. In the second act, he was crying, upset and very heart broken because of a girl. He came across as an immature, love struck boy who is very sensitive. At the end of the act, he was invited to the Capulet's for supper and although they were his enemies, he accepted.
Scene 3
In this act, Juliet's mother and the nurse tell her about Paris, her chosen husband. She says she would not want to marry him. They tried telling her wonderful things about this man but she refused. In the end she said she would meet him and see if he was cute. This showed me that she is the rebellious type. Juliet doesn't like being told what to do and she isn't afraid to stand up for herself.
Scene 4 & 5
In the last two scenes we get to know Romeo more. He discusses his dreams with Mercutio. Then comes the night where Romeo goes to the Capulet's. While there, he sees a girl that he thinks is beautiful. Capulet and Tybalt notice and Tybalt argues with Capulet about killing him. They decided to watch as Romeo went up to Juliet. Romeo and Juliet talked and got to know one another, and ended up kissing. The nurse noticed who Juliet was with and she took her away. Romeo and Juliet ended up finding out that they were from opposite families. The act ended with Romeo being depressed because he was in love with an enemy.

Made Up Character
_
My made up character’s name is Shurlee. She is a part of the
Montigue family and is around 18. She is Montigue’s daughter and Romeo’s older
sister. Some words to describe Shurlee are strong, independent, bossy and
opinionated. She doesn’t let people push her around and she does as she
pleases. She is the kind of person who gets very protective and isn’t afraid to
stand up for her family.
In the book, Shurlee is Romeo’s sister and he is the one he comes to for help. Whenever Romeo has a problem she always tells him what is best to do. Later on when Romeo and Juliet interact with each other, Shurlee will be the one to tell Romeo to stay away from her. Throughout the book, she will be extremely protective over Romeo, since he is her younger, less mature brother.
Finally, she has a strong hatred towards the Capulets and she doesn’t trust any of them. She doesn’t believe that a Capulet and a Montigue could ever get along. She will be one of the characters that get in between of Romeo and Juliet.
